Hello! I'm Yael.

I'm a senior product designer with 13 years of experience. Over the past three years, I've specialised in enterprise and patient-facing healthcare solutions.

I’m passionate about helping people do their best work, be it through mentoring, collaboration, or the products I make. I believe in ethical, accessible, and inclusive design.

My approach

Every team is different, every product has its unique challenges. I have worked with startups, large corporations, and agencies. Some had clear processes in place, others were just starting their journey. Some had large teams, others needed a founding designer.

A prescriptive design framework can help navigate the ambiguity of a project, but I find that too often it becomes rigid and restrictive. I prefer to define my approach in a way that keeps it consistent and flexible.

Holistic

I like to have a comprehensive knowledge of the product and learn about its history, its domain, the ecosystem surrounding it. I’m naturally curious and enjoy deep-diving into new topics. I want to understand the short and long-term business objectives and find their intersection with user needs.

Collaborative

I design and facilitate workshops that allow teams to communicate effectively and document important decisions. I encourage co-creation to spot issues early and quickly. I strive to understand each contributor's communication and work style to avoid unnecessary friction.

Adaptable

I have enough experience with design frameworks to adapt them to the stage of the product and the size of the team. I’ve collected a large toolbox of methodologies I can choose from when appropriate. I believe creativity applies to finding solutions as much as creating interfaces.

Pragmatic

I leave every meeting or workshop with a list of actionable items and a timeline.
I back every design decision with research.
I ensure my documentation has the right level of detail to be useful.
